Question by Kara: Best all inclusive resort in Cozumel?
My fiancee and I have decided to go to Cozumel, Mexico for our honeymoon in July 2010. Were debating between a couple different hotels. We like the El Cozumeleno Beach Front Resort, the Melia Cozumel All Inclusive Golf & Beach Resort, the Alllegro Cozumel, the Park Royal Cozumel, or the Wyndham Cozumel Resort & Spa. They all have mixed reviews, but I know one person may not have the same opinion as us. I want something that’s not too far from town, because were going to want to take a cab to town a couple days (we will be there for 8 days). I want a hotel with a nice beach, nothing too rocky or small, its our first time out of the country so we REALLY want to enjoy the beach. I don’t mind if its a family friendly resort, we both like kids and we have no problem with children running around. However, I do not want a hotel with a lot of “nightlife”. I don’t mind nightly entertainment but I do not want a “club” with teenagers drinking and being loud. I also do not want to see any topless sunbathing or anyone nude….I don’t think any wife wants her new husband seeing another woman naked on their honeymoon We are not very picky about food, we understand its an all inclusive resort and not a 5 star hotel. One thing I have to have is a CLEAN resort. There is nothing worse than a dirty hotel that smells or has bugs…EW! I also really want a nice pool with a swim up bar. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on which resort we should choose. Thank you very much in advance!

i cant give a lot of advice on the hotel because we stayed at an all inclusive, and it was nice, but not HONEYMOON nice ya know..my advice is this however since you have never been there..taxi cabs in cozumel are stupid expensive, like 7 bucks one way down the street..dont waste your money..instead..rent a jeep, the kind where the roof comes down..you’ll be glad you did..driving in cozumel is very very easy and the drive around the island is awesome..the other side from the hotels and stuff is pristine beaches, and very little traffic. you can get a jeep for a week for about 40 bucks a day..most of your hotels will have a rental place inside, but if your using an agent, its best to book one through them so your pretty much gaurenteed one; also there will usually be an excursion desk..my advice..dont bother going to the mainland on the ferry..its an incredible long wait, the stuff on that side is just as expensive and much much much more crowded..stay on the island..you will be happier. have fun

Packed into the X-22 irons is some fancy technology that you’ve come to expect from Callaway Golf such as VHT, which is the variable face technology that allows more weighting on the perimeter of the club for more forgiveness, S2H2 which allows for weight to be removed from the hosel to be used elsewhere, and Modified Tru-Bore, which allows the shaft tip to extend through the hosel and clubhead to the sole of the iron and improves feel and control by moving the tip of the shaft closer to the center of the clubface. If you’ve played Callaway irons in the past, it’s something you are certainly familiar with.

Toss in the 360-Degree undercut channel which moves the center-of-gravity lower and farther back in the clubhead and you have a large sweetspot, which for those of us who’s swings don’t always repeat, is a very good thing.

The X-22 irons run from 3-iron through lob wedge with complete sets running either in a 3-PW or 4-SW. Righties and lefties can both try all what the X-22 irons have to offer today at your local Callaway authorized retailer.

These Titleist AP2 Irons are a very good set fairway, but I have have a few
shots from in the trees ect before. And they are not very workable, my neighbour with a 2 handicapp has thesmae problem, but other than that, they are a great set of clubs for anyone.

You only need to take the club back a limited distance to strike the ball – probably no more than 12-24 inches based upon on how far you want the ball to travel. Ensure that that you make good, clean contact and ensure that you strike the ball in the middle of the club. This is essential.

All you need to do is lift the ball a little up in the air to be sure you will clear the fringe around the putting green and land the ball on the green to run towards the hole.

To help you develop your chipping method, watch how the pros do it and watch their stance, how they address the ball, the extent of the backlift and accelerating through the ball as they strike it. Memorise these techniques and training, practice and practice doing this yourself around the green.

Chipping is a much neglected piece of the game for new comers, and I can ensure you, as a new golfer you will have to play a lot of chip shots. Often great golfers do, but they practice them often. You have to keep your eye on the ball and make sure you strike it in the right place at the correct speed to avoid these errors.

These two straight forward practice techniques will ensure you get prepared for understanding other parts of the game. You most likely need to put in about 50-60 hours just learning to putt and a comparable amount of time on chipping and, of course, the practice needs to be prolonged if you want to develop into a very good golfer.
